Festival

UP bird festival will be held on Feb 02 2021, it is organized by Lucknow Zoo. The aim of the event is to promote UP as an international bird watching destination, enhance UP as a fast emerging eco-tourism destination, offer a forum for deliberation on birds, bird watching for tourism promotion and conservation of birds habitats. The aim is also to promote bird watching as an economic activity for rural livelihood enhancement.

There are about 10,000 bird species in the world. About 1,300 species are found in India. Out of these, Uttar Pradesh has over 550 avian species. Dudhwa also of a range of migratory birds that settle here during winters.
